Seunen Village

Wecome to Seunen Village
of Achewon Nimat Lodge.

Picture of Badger Seunen Village serves the Twin Valley District of the San Franciso Bay Area Council. With a history of service that dates back to 1948 we continue to provide leadership and service to the Packs, Troops, District and Council.

Our village name "Suenen Paschengink" means "Valleys of the Seunen".

The Seunen were a band of the Chochenyo who lived in the Northwestern region of the Livermore valley. The Chochenyo in turn were one major division of what is now called the Muwekma people, also known as the Coastanoans or Ohlone. The Muwekma Ohlone website has more information on the tribe.

Paschengink is a variation of the Lenape phrase "pahsayënk" which means "valleys of (location)".

The village calendar and village contacts can now be found on their own pages.
